The University of Texas at San Antonio

 

The United Methodist Student Movement at UTSA meets on both on campus and off campus, due to the lack of permanent student center facilities next to UTSA.

Chapter members at active in campus events, Bible study, and lead the weekly “Upgrade” student worship experience at University United Methodist Church on Wednesday evenings.  They also are part of the city-wide gathering of college students at Laurel Heights UMC, providing music ministry support for the Sunday evening “Connection” worship service.

Weekly Activities

Monday

Bible Study: Monday's 11AM - 12, on campus at UTSA, in the Chicano Room (UC 1, above the bookstore to the left). Studying the book of Galatians.


Tuesday

Crazy Love Book Study: Tuesday evenings 7 PM at the Roadrunner Wesley - 7703 Nature Pass Street.


Wednesday.

Upgrade! We will meet at 6 PM, @ University UMC (Corner of De Zavalla & Vance Jackson) in Room 1001 on the South Campus.


Ryan (one of our interns) will be giving students rides and will be outside the Roadrunner Cafe starting at 5:45. Please be outside as Ryan plans to leave by 5:50-5:55, he drives a gray VW Jetta.


Fridays:

Conversation w/ Rev. John 9 AM - 12 PM

“Seek and Speak” Open Dialogue on Current Events, Social Concerns, Religion and Lifestyle.


Sundays:

Evening worship at Laurel Heights UMC @ 6PM. Don't like getting up early for church? We understand, come worship with us at Laurel Heights. Some of us lead music for the service and the worship is a blend of contemporary and traditional . Rides are available once again, just contact us. We will also have a light dinner at 5:30 P M.
